My Generation

Growing up i remember we all looking forward to 4pm when NTA would start transmissions and it would give us great joy to see the colour bar come up.ย  And for the lucky ones whose parents are ‘rich’ enough to provide a television in the house, it was a thing of joy to have people gather around the house because that was a time when you had people around you.

A group of 4 or 5 children where only one has the right to operate the tablet and the others ardent viewers/spectators. and an attempt by one of them to touch the tablet signals a break in transmission as madam’ as in my case will decide to switch off the tablet.

And the next thing i hear is ‘my mummy, Abdul wants to play my game. hold the phone for me’. that is the end of the session,
